“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”
~ The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
I hope you live a life you’re proud of.
If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
Life is a curious thing, and we often have many commitments and responsibilities, pulling us in different directions. What often grounds us, and relaxes us, is finding the time for yourself. If you’re anything like me, it will involve making a cup of tea, and sitting for a while with your thoughts. Breathing. Dreaming. Decluttering your mind. I hope that you are happy, and if you’re not, then I really, truly hope that you have the strength to start all over again. That is the beauty of life. That is the beauty of humans. We define our limits.
And if you need more inspiration, then how about being inspired by Amy Hildebrand? She was born with albinism, “a rare hereditary disorder that prevents the body from making melanin, the substance that gives color to hair, skin and the iris of the eye.” She was born blind. Yet, today she is a photographer. She has defied the odds. She has done what people said she couldn’t. Want to know more? Read on. Be inspired. Life is extraordinary; it is down to us to make it so.
Happy Monday, let’s raise our mugs to inspiration.
